Getting Started
Search for 'WrapStudio' in the Shopify App Store, click 'Add app', and follow the installation prompts. Once installed, you'll be redirected to the WrapStudio dashboard where you can configure your first product rule.
No coding is required. WrapStudio uses Shopify's app blocks which can be added through the theme editor with a simple drag-and-drop interface.
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize. Navigate to a product page, click 'Add block', select 'Apps', and choose 'WrapStudio Customizer'. Position it where you want the 'Customize Design' button to appear.
WrapStudio works with all Online Store 2.0 themes (Dawn and newer). If you're using an older theme, you may need to add a small code snippet manually. Contact support for assistance.
Each Shopify store requires its own WrapStudio installation and subscription. The app is installed per-store, not per-account.
Yes! The Free plan includes 2 product rules with full functionality. You can test everything before upgrading to a paid plan.
Most merchants complete setup in under 10 minutes. Install the app, add the app block to your theme, create a product rule, and you're live.
Product Configuration
WrapStudio supports Canvas Wraps (gallery wrap), Framed Prints (with customizable frames and mats), Paper Prints, and Magnet Hangers. Each type has its own configuration options. We are continuously working on adding more product types.
A product rule is a configuration that defines how the 3D preview appears for specific products. For example, you might create a rule called 'Large Canvas Prints' with sizes 16x20, 20x24, and 24x36, then apply it to 5 different canvas products. That's 1 rule covering 5 products. You can set sizes, frame options, colors, and other settings. Each rule can be applied to one or more products.
Yes! For example, if you sell 20 different canvas print products that all use the same sizes and settings, you only need 1 product rule. Select all 20 products when creating the rule. You can also use Collection Rules to automatically apply settings to all products in a collection like 'Canvas Prints' or 'Framed Art'.
Create separate product rules for each configuration. Example: Rule 1 'Small Canvas' with sizes 8x10, 11x14 for your budget canvas line. Rule 2 'Premium Canvas' with sizes 24x36, 30x40 for your premium line. Rule 3 'Framed Prints' with black/white/gold frames. Each rule is a different configuration for different products.
Yes. In the product rule configuration, you define which sizes are available (e.g., 8x10, 11x14, 16x20). Customers can then select from these options in the 3D preview.
Go to the 'Branding' tab in the WrapStudio dashboard. Upload your logo, adjust size and position. This logo will appear on the back of canvas and framed prints in the 3D preview.
Yes. For framed prints, you can configure or choose from available frame styles (Classic, Modern, Ornate), frame colors, and mat options including mat colors and widths.
We recommend customers upload images at least 2000x2000 pixels for best quality. The 3D preview will work with smaller images but may show lower quality results.
Currently, WrapStudio does not enforce DPI requirements. The preview shows how the image will look at various sizes, helping customers make informed decisions.
Variant conditions let you show the WrapStudio button only for specific product variants. Example: You sell a product with variants 'Ready-Made' and 'Custom Print'. You can configure WrapStudio to only show the 'Customize Design' button when the 'Custom Print' variant is selected. Another example: Show the button only when 'Size: Large' is selected. Another example: Show the button that opens frame editor for 12x16 when user selects 12x16 variant.
Pricing & Plans
Free (2 product rules), Starter $15/mo (25 rules), Growth $35/mo (100 rules), and Pro $59/mo (unlimited rules). All paid plans include collection rules.
Each unique configuration counts as one rule, not each product. Example: You're on the Free plan (2 rules). You create Rule 1 for canvas prints and apply it to 50 products. You create Rule 2 for framed prints and apply it to 30 products. That's 2 rules covering 80 products - perfectly within your Free plan!
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. If you downgrade and have more rules than allowed, the oldest rules remain active.

No contracts. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime from your Shopify admin.
Currently, we only offer monthly billing through the Shopify App Store. Contact us for custom enterprise arrangements.
You cannot create new rules beyond your plan limit. Existing rules continue to work. To add more rules, upgrade your plan or delete existing rules.
No. Your subscription covers unlimited customer usage. There are no per-preview or per-order fees.
Refunds are subject to Shopify's billing policies. Generally, we do not provide refunds for partial billing periods, but contact support for special circumstances.
Customer Experience
Customers see a 'Customize Design' button on your product page. Clicking it opens a modal/drawer where they can upload a photo and see a realistic 3D preview of their custom print. You can customise if you wan to show full screen modal or drawer or center modal from app dashboard.
Yes! Customers can click, zoom and drag to rotate the 3D model, viewing their print from any angle. They can also zoom in and out and download video or photos from different angles.
Customers can upload JPG, PNG, and WEBP images up to 200MB each.
Only when customer clicks save and add to cart, we generate a common shared link for you to see the image configuration as well as 3d preview. Data is deleted from our servers every 30 days.
When customers click 'Add to Cart', the configuration link is saved as line item properties in Shopify. Example: In the order, you'll see a link of 3d preview with properties like 'Size: 16x20', 'Frame: Classic Black', 'Mat: White 2 inch'. These appear in order details and can be used for fulfillment.
Currently, designs are session-based. If customers leave without adding to cart, they'll need to re-upload their image. We recommend customers add to cart to save their selection.
Yes! WrapStudio is fully responsive. The 3D preview works on smartphones and tablets. Mobile users can upload photos from their camera roll.
All modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. We support mobile browsers including iOS Safari and Android Chrome. IE11 is not supported.
Yes. After uploading, customers can select different sizes from your configured options. The 3D preview updates in real-time.
The preview will show the image at the selected size. Customers can visually assess if quality is acceptable. It's up to you whether to provide DPI guidance on your product page.
Orders & Fulfillment
In Shopify Admin → Orders, click on any order. Under the line item, you'll see a link of 3d preview starting with https://wrapstudio.app/share... which displays all properties like 'Size: 16x20', 'Frame: Classic Black', 'Mat: White 2 inch'. These details help you fulfill the order. Important: The customer's uploaded image is also included in the link.
Review the line item properties for customization details. Prepare your order accordingly. You can use further automation to extract and send this URL on customer's Whatsapp post order confirmation as well.
No. WrapStudio doesn't change pricing. Your Shopify product prices remain unchanged. If you want dynamic pricing based on size, you'll need to set up variants or use a pricing app.

Troubleshooting
Check: 1) Is the app block added in the theme editor? 2) Is the product included in a product rule? 3) Is the rule within your plan limit? 4) Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R).
This usually indicates a browser issue. Try: 1) Hard refresh 2) Clear browser cache 3) Try a different browser 4) Check browser console for errors and contact support.
Images are scaled to fit the selected print size. Very wide or tall images may have excess cropped. The preview shows realistic proportions.
Changes may take a few seconds to propagate. Try hard refreshing the page. If using Shopify's CDN cache, changes can take up to 5 minutes.
Your theme may not support app blocks (Online Store 2.0). Try updating your theme or contact support for manual installation instructions.
You've reached your plan's product rule limit. Upgrade your plan or delete unused rules to create new ones.
Check that: 1) The app block is published (not just in a draft) 2) You've saved the theme customization 3) The product has an active rule.
Ask customers to: 1) Try a different browser 2) Disable ad blockers 3) Allow JavaScript. If issues persist, gather browser/device info and contact support.
