One Product, Five Variants, Five Different 3D Previews

Your product has five frame options: Oak, Walnut, Black, White, and Natural Pine. A customer selects "Walnut" from the dropdown. The product image doesn't change. They have to imagine what walnut looks like.

Some stores photograph every variant. That works for simple products but becomes unmanageable when you have 5 frame colors times 4 sizes times 3 matboard options. That's 60 photo combinations.

Variant conditions in WrapStudio

Instead of photographing every combination, WrapStudio uses variant conditions. You set up rules that detect which variant the customer selects and display the matching 3D preview automatically.

When the customer switches from "Oak Frame" to "Walnut Frame," the 3D viewer updates in real time. The wood grain changes. The color shifts. The matboard adjusts. All without you creating separate images for each combination.

How to set it up

In the WrapStudio rule editor, scroll to the Variant Conditions section. You can set conditions based on variant title, option name, or SKU. For example:

• If variant title contains "Walnut" → show walnut frame config
• If variant title contains "Oak" → show oak frame config
• If option "Size" equals "24x36" → adjust dimensions automatically

Each condition maps to a specific 3D configuration. The right preview shows up for the right variant, every time.
